Rutson, the 2023 Tamica Catchings National Freshman of the Year, has been named All-ACC First Team for the third consecutive year this season. She was runner-up in the ACC Player of the Year Notre DameHannah Hidalgo. In his second straight season, Rutson is an Unmeyers Drysdale Award finalist and is given to the best shooting guard every year.
She will soon become the best player available on the transfer portal in this cycle and also raise questions about how good Florida is next season. Brooke Wyckoff's Seminole has also lost Makaila Timpson and Guard O'Maria Gordon. Both have exhausted their qualifications.
Florida played NCAA tournaments every season when Rutson was on the roster, but never made it to the second weekend.
