Following the recent assassination attempt on former President Trump, CNN host Jake Tapper offered a solemn condemnation of the hateful rhetoric that is rocking our country. Perhaps Tapper should do some soul-searching before giving a speech like this.
Tapper is considered “respected” by other mainstream journalists and has a moderate style. But for years he has Trump compared to HitlerFor example, they claim that his anti-immigrant rhetoric is straight out of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
Desperate leftists, worried about the imminent loss of power, prestige and plunder, have decided to paint Trump as a fascist.
When Trump was defeated in 2020, Tapper solemnly noted that “for millions of Americans,A long national nightmare” is finally over.
It would be a different story if Tapper’s words were considered heretical or an extremist voice, but he is firmly in the mainstream left-wing media and is now praised for his “warning against political violence.”
Tapper pointed to the shooting that turned fatal. Congressman Gabby Giffords Tapper was indirectly blaming conservatives for incidents such as the murder of Rep. (D-Ariz.) by a crazed loner and the assault of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, by a crazed homeless man.
But Tapper didn’t point out the violent rhetoric that motivated Trump to shoot. Remember when Giffords was shot and the sheriff, who was largely responsible for not arresting the gunman, tried to blame conservative talk shows? The partisan media quickly jumped on this ridiculous accusation.
Disgruntled, hotheaded leftists have committed politically motivated mass shootings in recent years. Congressman Steve Scalise (Republican Party of Louisiana). But rather than attributing this violence to the harsh rhetoric of the left, partisan media instead placed the blame for the violence on conservatives. According to Politico, “violence is being normalized on all sides.” In other words, the media is suggesting that the violent rhetoric of conservatives justifies the physical violence of the left.
This cynical take seems to blame conservatives for left-wing violence, but Jake Tapper aside, is there any truth to the idea that progressive rhetoric is responsible for a violent ecosystem?
Think back to Trump’s 2016 election. Comedian Kathy Griffin, sensing a trend at the time, said: Bloody severed head He holds a statue of Donald Trump in one hand.
At the same time in New York’s Central Park, Highly praised performance In Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, 24 senators stabbed Donald Trump instead of Caesar, drawing cheers from the audience, and the media gave positive coverage to this “resistance” throughout the remaining four years of President Trump’s term.
Since the 2020 election, the Biden administration has gone to great lengths to sow fear in the public, calling MAGA members “white supremacists,” a reference to white, male Christian nationalists. President Biden gave melodramatic televised addresses to the nation, even though he saw no imminent danger. Slams MAGA extremists among A dystopian funeral scene.
Adding to this rhetoric, congressional Democrats and former Republicans Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger have conflated the apparently out-of-control election protests on January 6th as a “riot,” which they never were.
In this year’s election, desperate leftists worried about the imminent loss of power, prestige and spoils if Trump wins have chosen to paint him as a fascist, particularly in the likeness of Adolf Hitler. MSNBC commentator Nicolle Wallace has expressed serious concerns that if Trump wins, the country will never hold elections again, and has portrayed Trump as an authoritarian who would become a dictator.
Recent edition New Republic The article proudly depicted a caricature of Trump morphing into Adolf Hitler. The childish, second-rate cover story concluded that, based on a variety of comparisons, Trump was indeed teeth fascist.
There has been no condemnation of The New Republic from the left., Jake Tapper, Nicole Wallace. No one is calling for an end to their anti-MAGA rhetoric. No one in the mainstream media is condemning the assassination of a Supreme Court Justice. Brett KavanaughThis follows repeated unlawful harassment of him and other judges tolerated by the Biden Justice Department.
There’s no secret about this. If Trump is repeatedly told he’s a reincarnation of Hitler, those who take the words literally may feel compelled to assassinate him. Why should we be surprised that impressionable young people, who have been bombarded since 2021 with accusations that Trump is a treasonous insurrectionist, would want to eliminate this “threat to democracy”?
