Death of IRGC Spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naini Confirmed
The announcement regarding Ali Mohammad Naini’s death, who served as the spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was made on Friday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated on X that he had been ‘eliminated.’
“Naini held various roles focused on propaganda and public relations. For the last two years, he was the IRGC’s main propagandist, spreading the regime’s terrorist messaging to their proxies in the Middle East to support and instigate attacks against Israel.”
The IDF also mentioned Naini’s involvement in quelling protests within Iran.
In a statement released on Friday, the IRGC confirmed his death, claiming he “was martyred in a cowardly terrorist attack perpetrated by the American-Zionist coalition at dawn,” as reported by Al Jazeera.
Just hours earlier, Naini had reportedly told Iranian media that the Islamic Republic continues to manufacture missiles, despite the ongoing conflict. This appears to contradict Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s assertion on Thursday that “Iran lacks the capacity to enrich uranium and produce ballistic missiles.”
As reported by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), approximately 6,000 targets have been hit during the U.S.-led initiative against Iran, known as Operation Epic Fury, which includes over 90 ships. Israel has also conducted thousands of strikes as part of its campaign termed Operation Roaring Lion.
Additionally, numerous Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, have reportedly been killed in these operations.
