Comedian and Hollywood actor Russell Brand said on Monday that coincidences are “created through prayer,” describing them as a kind of “divine synergy.”
Brand, who was baptized as a Christian last spring, said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter): read Nicky Gumbel's Read the Bible in a Year.
The 49-year-old British actor also reflected on the relationship between “coincidence” and Christian prayer.

“I have a spiritual need,” Brand previously explained his motivation for converting to Christianity. “I need God, otherwise I can't get by in this world.”
