Wayne Osmond, brother of Donny and Marie Osmond, has died. He was 73 years old.
“Wayne Osmond, a beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his loving wife and five children,” the Osmond family said in a statement. facebook page Amy Osmond Cooke, daughter of Wayne; “His legacy of faith, music, love and laughter has touched the lives of many people around the world.”
“He wanted everyone to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, that families are eternal, and that banana splits are the best dessert,” the family added. “We love him and will miss him very much.”

On Thursday, Meryl Osmond confirmed that her brother Wayne passed away after suffering a severe stroke on New Year's Day.
“When I learned that my beloved brother Wayne had suffered a severe stroke, my immediate reaction was to fall to my knees and feel confident that his mission had been accomplished and that he had succeeded in many ways in this endeavor. “I prayed that it would happen,” he said. he wrote on Facebook. “I immediately drove to the SLC hospital to see him and was able to say goodbye.”
“My brother was a saint before he was born, and he will leave this world an even greater saint than he was when he entered,” he continued. “I don't know a more humble man. He is a man of absolute conviction.”[ly] There is no malicious intent. He was a person who had the ability to forgive quickly and show unconditional love to everyone he met. ”

“His departure will be a sad moment for some, but for those waiting for him on the other side of the world, it will be a celebration beyond our imagination. “My brother Wayne endured well. He did his best.''His accomplishments were not only his genius in writing music, but his ability to touch the hearts of millions and bring them closer to God. He will be remembered as a great person. ”

“He will be sorely missed and I am so grateful to have grown up with one of our Heavenly Father's greatest sons,” he concluded.
Wayne's daughter, Amy, wrote that although she had a hard time coming to terms with her father's death, she was ultimately grateful for the time she spent with him.

“It is difficult to express the depth of my sadness that my 'twin' will not be in my life for a while,” she wrote on Facebook. “But I'm so grateful for the time I was able to spend with him. I'm grateful for the great memories. His strength, his loyalty to our family, his incredible talent. Thank you for your energy and most of all his love.'' I look forward to seeing you again on the other side, I love you, Dad. ”
