This week's new releases on streaming services are full of impressive ensembles. On Netflix, you can watch The Perfect Couple, starring Nicole Kidman, Eve Hewson, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Meghann Fahy and many more, while Peacock's Fight Night: Million Dollar Heist stars Taraji P. Henson, Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Hart and Terrence Howard. Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives introduces a new female cast that may not be household names today, but will be instantly famous to Mormons.
Netflix The perfect coupleIn The 1990s, Eve Hewson plays a young woman marrying into a wealthy New England family. Her future parents-in-law, played by Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber, spare no expense in putting on the perfect wedding, but then a dead body washes up on the shore. The series is based on the novel by Elin Hildebrand, and all six episodes are available now.
New reality show on Hulu The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives The book profiles a group of #MomTok influencers, Mormon women who rose to fame through their candid social media accounts, but also promises to uncover plenty of sordid details about the “soft swinging” scandal they were allegedly embroiled in in 2022. At the time, one of them, Taylor Frankie Paul, revealed she was divorcing her husband, Tate Paul, after he cheated on her with her friend's husband.
Peacock Fight Night: Million Dollar HeistThe Revenge, which hit theaters on September 5th, stars Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Don Cheadle, and Kevin Hart (not a bad combination!). The limited series is based on the true events of a robbery in Atlanta in 1970 that took place during Muhammad Ali's comeback fight.
