The Players: Smylie Kaufman’s Happy Hour segment has fans calling for more

Smiley Kaufman’s Friday Happy Hour Live segment may become golf fans’ new favorite part of the broadcast. Kevin Kisner is back with him this week for The Players’ version of one of golf’s most popular holes.

The duo is live on the par-3 17th hole, better known as the “Island Green,” and analyzes the pairings that pass while providing insight into the players’ personalities.

Seeing this dynamic duo back together sparked a lot of great reactions across social media.

The co-hosts welcomed Keith Mitchell to the show and teased him about his viral moment from last year’s Players Championship.

Mitchell hit a bad drive that went straight into the water. Then he continued: slap his driver It fell to the ground, leaving a mound on the tee box. A few seconds later, a horn sounded to warn of a weather delay.

The former Georgia Bulldog was so furious that he refused the cart and walked back to the clubhouse.

“I don’t care if I get hit by lightning. I’m walking to the clubhouse,” Mitchell said, recalling.

Kaufman called it one of his favorite highlights of the week, and the trio couldn’t stop laughing about it. It’s moments like that that stay in the hearts of fans.

Another incredible moment was when Im Sung Jae stopped and hugged Mitchell during the broadcast.

He and Im quickly became friends after partnering at the 2023 Zurich Classic. The relationship warmed everyone’s hearts and also resulted in some great happy hour moments.

Knowing that this segment will air on Fridays, fans may skip the featured group coverage to watch these two talk about golf.

Most fans feel that happy hour is a great addition to the broadcast. Kaufman and Kisner are a perfect match. They bring a relaxed atmosphere while still providing great commentary.

Their ability to converse comfortably with other players and make golfers feel at ease on the air is what golf broadcasters need. They make it very approachable and fun for fans watching from home.
