Disneyland’s Expensive New Treat
Wow, that’s quite a hit to the budget.
Guests at Disneyland in California can now indulge in a $250 shot of Louis XIII Cognac served in an edible glass. To put that in perspective, that’s more than the cost of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, which was priced at just $185 last year.
At the Grand Californian Hotel, the “Cookie Shot” has gained quite a bit of traction recently. These shot glasses are crafted from chocolate chip cookie dough, coated in chocolate, and can be filled with milk, alcohol, or a mix of both. They sound fun, right?
However, it’s interesting to note that just a regular glass of milk costs about $10.75, and if you want to add Baileys, that jumps to $19. But really, the standout, or perhaps the absurd part, is the $250 shot of that renowned cognac.
As of now, Disney hasn’t provided any explanations regarding the hike in drink prices when asked for comment.
If you want to try this extravagant drink, you’ll need to head to the Snack Cart at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. But, don’t take too long; it’s only available during special holiday events.
If that wasn’t enough, you can also enjoy Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac at the Hearthstone Lounge for a whopping $690—now that’s what you call a fancy drink!
This high-priced shot is just a small indication of the overall price increases across the board in the country, including essentials like housing, groceries, and gas. For instance, Target and Walmart have both seen price increases of about 1.7% nationwide this year, based on a recent analysis of approximately 16,000 items.
Additionally, a recent report highlighted that prices on Amazon have surged by nearly 6%. It seems like everything is costing more these days—from coffee to cozy sofas to kids’ toys.
While Disneyland hasn’t specified when the “Cookie Shot” cart will close, the holiday season wraps up on January 7th. Many Disney aficionados believe this trendy drink might, well, just vanish after that date.
