The Rings of Power’ Season 2 Suffers Viewership Collapse

An estimated 902,000 US households watched the first episode of the second season within four days of its August 29th premiere, down half from the 1.8 million households that watched the first episode of the first season within three days.

While there has been no official announcement about a third season, showrunner J.D. Payne has publicly stated that Amazon has commissioned a “50-hour” series, meaning five seasons.

The show lost an estimated 63% of its viewers during its first season in 2022, Breitbart News reported.
