Pastor Greg Laurie said in a recent series of sermons that the Second Coming of Christ will be different than the Rapture.
Rowley, senior pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship in California, said Jesus’ second coming was “an answer to the prayer that the church has been praying for 2,000 years.” ChurchLeaders.com.
On the other hand, he explained that the Rapture was a separate event.
“Rapture. You’ve probably heard this word before. It’s a real-life event that could happen at any time. Some might say, ‘The Bible doesn’t even say the word ‘Rapture’!'”
“In short, you will not find the word ‘Bible’ in the Bible! You will not find the word ‘Trinity’ in the Bible either. But as Christians, we believe in both. ”
He said the word “rapture” comes from the Greek word “harpazo”.
“Sometimes people get confused about the rapture and the Second Coming,” said Laurie, who said the rapture is Jesus’ descending from heaven and resurrecting the bodies of believers who have already gone there.

“The Second Coming is not the Rapture,” Laurie said. The Rapture takes place before Christ judges the world, but Jesus will return at His Second Coming.
Of the rapture, Jesus said he would come “like a thief in the night.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2whereas in the second coming he will come and “all eyes” will see his return, according to Revelation 1:7.
Laurie preaches throughout his series on the end times, discussing dispensational theology as a literal interpretation of Old Testament prophecies about Israel.
In the chronology Laurie shared with the church, he said that the End-time Order would occur first with the Rapture, followed by the rise of the Antichrist, the seven-year tribulation period, the battle of Armageddon, the Second Coming, and the Second Coming of Jesus. Says. 1000 years of reign, and finally New Jerusalem.
In a recent sermon, Lowry also revealed that the church is working with Samaritan’s Purse to help those affected by the fires in Hawaii. Harvest has a campus on Maui.
