‘The stakes are eternal’: The greatest Christmas gift we’ve already received

If you're not feeling the Christmas spirit as usual, glenn beck There is a solution.

“Today I would like to begin by looking at the cradle of Bethlehem, where the greatest gift ever given to this world was given,” Glenn begins. “A simple child was born, not a child of earthly power, no riches, but a purpose.”

“And through him, the chains of human bondage were destined to be broken. When he was born, what the angel said was, in a word, “Freedom, Salvation, Hope.'' That's what our founders understood. Each of us is endowed with unalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our Creator gave us these things,” he continues.

Our Creator also gave us free will and the ability to make mistakes, which is a gift in itself.

“Without the freedom to fail, we cannot learn. We do not grow. Without the freedom to choose between good and evil, the triumph of virtue over vice has no meaning at all. We “I'll miss this message. Or maybe I'll save this message for Christmas Eve,” says Glenn. “We should be talking about this all year long.”

Glenn knows this all too well, as he himself is a recovering alcoholic.

“There are times in life when you feel guilty. You can't move because you're playing these tapes over and over again in your head. And they're all lies. That's Christmas. Guilt. “The freedom to let go of our feelings and grasp the hand of grace that heals our wounds, old and new, and lifts us out of the mire and quagmire. This freedom is most precious,” he explains.

And despite the headlines constantly warning of war with other nations, the real war being waged against us is a spiritual war that wants us to forget these messages.

“That battlefield is invisible. The stakes are eternal. So as we gear up and stand on the threshold of this sacred season, we too often underestimate this invisible enemy we face.” Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen,” says Glenn.

“Let's not take what happens at the polls as a reprieve, God doing something we couldn't do,” he continues. “Well, God says, 'Well, what are you going to do with that?' Because I've done what you can't do.' That's the deal with free will. It's a partnership. He forgives.” But we have to work.”
