U.S. Expels More Iranians Amid Immigration Policies
President Donald Trump’s administration has increased the number of Iranians being expelled from the United States. According to a report from Mizan News Agency, which is linked to Iran’s judiciary, an official from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Mojtaba Shasti Karimi, has approved the deportation of 55 Iranian nationals.
It was mentioned that these individuals chose to return home due to the ongoing anti-immigration and discriminatory policies from the U.S., particularly targeting foreigners, which include Iranians. This perspective seems reflective of broader frustrations.
Fox News Digital sought a comment from the Department of Homeland Security on this matter.
Iranian Nationals Set to Return
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghai, indicated that about 55 individuals are expected to arrive in Iran soon, noting that this is the second batch of deportees in the past few months, which suggests a pattern of ongoing deportations.
U.S. officials reported that the deportation flight, which took off on Sunday, was part of a routine operation that included nationals from other countries as well. The arrangement was such that passengers from different nationalities would disembark in various locations; Arabs and Russians were scheduled to land in Cairo, whereas the deported Iranians would transfer in Kuwait before continuing on to Tehran.
This whole situation is part of a larger trend of stricter immigration policies under the Trump administration. It’s interesting, I think, to see how these policies play out across different demographics. The responses, both from the U.S. and Iranian officials, reflect a complex backdrop of political tensions and personal choices.
