Discussion on Birth Tourism and National Sovereignty
Senator Eric Schmidt (R-Missouri) recently referenced a book by investigative journalist Peter Schweitzer, highlighting the need for the U.S. to “get serious about relocating the Manchurian generation overseas.” The book, titled The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon, addresses concerns about immigration’s impact on the nation.
In a post on X, Mr. Schmidt reacted to a report from Breitbart News, which discussed Schweitzer’s findings on a “birth tourism pipeline.” This pipeline could potentially lead to over a million Americans born in the U.S. and raised in China, making them eligible to vote in U.S. elections by 2030.
“We need to take this issue seriously about emigrating the Manchurian generation overseas,” Schmidt emphasized. He warned that allowing the current system to continue would amount to “civilizational suicide” and urged a return to national sovereignty.
Bradley Jay, Deputy Political Editor at Breitbart News, noted that Schweitzer’s book elaborates on how Chinese elites utilize America’s birthright citizenship to engage in birth tourism. This practice involves Chinese mothers traveling to the U.S. to give birth, granting their children automatic citizenship.
Schweitzer describes birth tourism as appealing because of the chain migration it facilitates. “Once those children reach 21, they can apply for immigration status for their parents,” he explained. To illustrate, he pointed out that over 70 percent of newborns in Saipan are born to parents who travel there under a visa-free policy to secure American citizenship for their children.
Former President Donald Trump commended Schweitzer’s book, labeling it both “very important and very interesting.” He shared his thoughts in a post on Truth Social, highlighting that troubling events are occurring in America and asserting a need for action to protect the nation.
Schweitzer’s book, The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon, is available for purchase and published by HarperCollins.
