Democratic Podcaster Belittles “White Culture”
Democratic podcaster Jennifer Welch recently expressed a controversial view, suggesting that “white people” lack a culture worth discussing and should adhere to the often conflicted demands of multicultural immigrants.
During an election celebration for Zoran Mamdani, she remarked, “Americans have no other culture than multiculturalism.” Welch added that “unfriendly white people need to learn how to accept that.”
This dismissive view of what she labels “white” American culture stands out, especially considering that this very culture provided her the security and prosperity to raise her family. It’s worth noting that this culture has contributed to the freedom and influence enjoyed by millions of Americans.
Ironically, it also offered her the platform to voice her progressive criticisms of American cultural values, which she perceives as skewed towards freedom, family, and faith.
Her statements also underscore a broader trend among progressives who seem to harbor disdain for 300 years of American freedom and the principles of limited government. The underlying message appears to be a call for Americans to abandon their cultural self-management in favor of a system that empowers progressive leaders to navigate the complexities of multiculturalism.
In a recent comment, former President Barack Obama, referencing a politically charged event, articulated this ambition as an experiment in fostering unprecedented diversity. He urged progressives to find a way to coexist while still respecting personal beliefs and maintaining cultural heritages.
The ongoing culture war, carefully managed by progressives, is pivotal for the Democratic Party, reliant on a volatile coalition of newly engaged voters and minorities. This approach includes radical initiatives like promoting transgender rights to mobilize support among everyday Americans.
However, the social unrest stemming from the Democratic embrace of multiculturalism presents challenges for ordinary citizens. Without a cohesive culture, the populace struggles to balance conflicting needs for freedom, income, faith, and community.
Unwritten cultural norms have historically assisted Americans in navigating life—helping them to find jobs, marry, raise well-adjusted children, and pursue ambitions without the interference of progressive activists who act as cultural arbiters.
The negative ramifications of multiculturalism are becoming increasingly apparent abroad, particularly in Europe, where numerous women now live in environments governed by aggressive foreign cultural norms.
