‘The View’ denounces Jasmine Crockett for mocking Greg Abbott’s disability

The co-host of “The View” provided rare criticism of D-Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who recently fired fire after laughing at Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's obstacles.

While speaking at Saturday's Human Rights Campaign event, Crockett appeared to tease Abbott, a Republican who uses a wheelchair in paraplegia by calling him “Hot Wheel Governor.”

“Yeah, I know we got the governor's hot wheels out there. Come now! And the hot thing about him is that he's a hot a-confusing,” Crockett said.

Reacting to the clip, Sarah Haynes said Crockett was “effective” and “talented” communicator, but the wise ones were “under her.”

“I agree. I respect her, but it's never okay to laugh at obstacles, whether it's Donald Trump or Jasmine Crockett.”

After co-hosting, Whoopi Goldberg emphasized that politicians and public figures must be “very careful” what they say, and Griffin pointed out that Crockett made similar jokes about Abbott several times.

“It's not a good idea,” replied Joy Behar.

“I won't laugh at people with disabilities,” Sunny Hostin added.

“You don't ock laugh at people. I just don't ock laugh at people, and I respect Jasmine Crockett. I think she's an effective messenger. I think this was a mistake. When you make a mistake, when you do it, you have to own it because it gives it more credibility,” Hostin continued.

Hostin also argued that he had no knowledge of Abbott's obstacles, but admitted that Crockett must have known as a Texas politician.

Faced with possible accusations in the House, Crockett's Chief of Staff said Wednesday that the Liberal Democrats' comments had been misinterpreted.

Crockett's Chief of Staff Kimberly McClain told Fox News Digital “Please ensure that it never means that lawmakers were meant to harm the governor or take lightly any medical conditions he may have.”

McLain pointed to Crockett's statement at X in Crockett, saying, “I was not thinking about the governor's condition. I was thinking about the planes, trains and cars that I used to move migrants into the community led by a black mayor. Condition.”

Despite her statement, Crockett appears to have a pattern of commenting on Abbott's “rolling” location.

Last week, lawmakers shared a post featuring Abbott at the White House. It reads, “I support the president who rolls into the White House and destroys an institution that will allow wheelchair children to have equal access to education.”

In his reelection campaign against former Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O'Rourke, Crockett once again denounced Abbott with X, saying, “The new nickname I have for Beto O'Rourke is the King of Applause!
