The View’s Behar: At least Haley ‘won’t be governing from cell block 11’

ABC's “The View” co-host Joy Behar on Thursday praised Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley for her campaign against former President Trump.

talk show co-host reviewed the clip Regarding Haley's speech at a campaign event in North Charleston, South Carolina, she said President Trump, who won Tuesday's New Hampshire primary, threw a tantrum during the speech.

“I like her,” Behar said, prompting questions from other hosts on the largely left-wing show. “She likes what Nikki is doing. She doesn't have to approve of all her policies.”

“And at least she won't be ruling from 11 cell blocks,” he added, noting the growing number of civil and criminal lawsuits against the former president.

In a speech Wednesday, Haley said Trump “had a seizure” and described the former president as “disturbing.” She challenged Trump to debate him as the only remaining major challenger in the Republican primary.

She questioned why she thought she would win again when she had already lost before and touted that she had raised $1 million since her speech after losing the New Hampshire primary.

In a speech in the Granite State on Tuesday, Haley doubled down on her fight against Trump, even though she trailed him in each of the first two races in the 2024 Republican primary.

Behar continued to praise Haley on Thursday, saying, “This is a woman who is serving a purpose in the same way that Chris Christie was serving a purpose.” She said Haley has put on Trump's skin, “kicking and punching” him and showing the former president's true colors.

Behar echoed Haley's claims about Trump, saying, “As she says, he's very anxious and very transparent.” “He can't stand any attacks. So the more you needle him or hit him a little, the more anxious he becomes.”

Trump won both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary, and now has his sights set on Nevada and Haley's home state of South Carolina.
