“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin blamed “climate change” for Monday’s solar eclipse, Friday’s earthquake and the expected cicada breeding season.
“If you put all of this together, you might end up believing that climate change exists or that something is actually happening,” she said Monday.
A magnitude 4.8 earthquake was felt in New York and New Jersey on Friday, and a long-awaited solar eclipse hit the continental United States on Monday.
Hostin also recalled how her studio’s makeup artist “put on her coat” and “ran down the hallway” during the earthquake, saying, “Jesus is coming” and “The Rapture is here.”

“However, earthquakes are not affected by climate change. Earthquakes are underground. You can’t do that,” Behar said.
“What about global warming?” she answered.
“No, it happens,” Goldberg said. “And solar eclipses. They knew an eclipse was coming because eclipses happen. And they can actually say when something like that would happen.”
Hostin pointed out that it was the first time in 100 years that two different groups of cicadas hatched at the same time during mating season, but Goldberg was quick to shut it down, saying it only happens every 17 years. he claimed.

Green Party member and New Jersey Senate candidate Christina Amira Khalil made headlines after claiming that the earthquake that shook New York and New Jersey on Friday was caused by climate, and posting a similar theory on social media.
