Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) claimed on Sunday in CNN's “Union Status” that the White House under the Second Trump administration became “Kremlin arms.”
Host Dana Bash said, “Do you think there is hope to save this relationship with Ukraine?”
Murphy said, “So it's absolutely embarrassing what's going on right now. The White House has become the arm of the Kremlin. Every day, we hear from the US president, the Kremlin's whole talk of the Kremlin, his entire national security team, and from the national security advisers. Last week, the White House has been pretending to be that Ukraine started this war. It essentially says that Poland invaded Germany at the beginning of World War II. There are still facts in this world, and in fact, this Vladimir Putin is a brutal dictator. Russia launched this war, and the entire pretext for that meeting yesterday was an attempt to rewrite history to sign a deal with Putin's President Putin.
He said, “It's disastrous for US national security. It means China will be a march. Putin may not stop. America may be at war with nuclear power. And for what? For what? It appears that America is trying to align with dictators who want Donald Trump to have the closest connection to tyranny around the world.
