The wild antics of Hollywood, 'The View,' and podcasters: 2025's Annoyance Hall of Fame

Top Annoying Figures of 2025

This year marked the return of Trump, which, unsurprisingly, added fuel to the fire for many on the left. Their disdain for Donald Trump, conservatives, and even Charlie Kirk defined the landscape of 2025.

Some individuals managed to stand out in the race for the title of “Most Annoying Person of 2025.” I decided to sidestep the already known media figures who drew attention from single foolish remarks, like Matthew Dowd, whose comments led to his dismissal from a network after the death of Kirk.

1. Jimmy Kimmel

At the top of the list is Jimmy Kimmel, host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Many late-night shows are just painful to watch now, as hosts seem to engage in endless Trump critiques. Yet, Kimmel excels at expressing his disdain for conservatives, almost deserving a place among the hosts on The View.

Kimmel attracted more buzz for his comments about Trump than for any comedic value. Even David Letterman labeled him a “leader of the resistance,” a title Kimmel seemed to embrace as he shed tears, claiming it had been a “hard year.” His reactions to Kirk’s assassination were particularly criticized, with him accusing Trump supporters of trying to distance themselves from the perpetrator. It’s hard to claim he knew what he was talking about sometimes. Even Trump remarked, “Jimmy Kimmel was terrible,” but hey, who am I to argue?

2. The View

If you were to locate the pinnacle of annoyance, it would surely be ABC’s “The View.” This platform gathers a collection of hosts like Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, reminding us that more often doesn’t mean better.

This year, they suggested that Iran’s extremist actions were on par with those of the United States, and Behar equated Trump’s election with Hitler’s rise, stating, “The Germans voted too.” The show has devolved into a source of mockery rather than a serious platform, as criticisms became common.

3. Jennifer Welch

Next on the list is podcaster Jennifer Welch, who describes herself in… let’s say, provocative ways. She co-hosts a podcast aptly titled “I’ve Had It,” and her past on an obscure reality show seems to matter little now; the media seems intrigued because of her sharp commentary against conservatives.

She didn’t hold back in describing Trump as a “fascist.” Notably, her comments about Kirk’s widow were branded as cruel, and she seems likely to continue making headlines. CNN has even touted her and her co-host as unapologetic in their criticisms.

4. More Podcasters

The landscape of podcasters isn’t getting any better, either. Individuals like anti-Semite Nick Fuentes and Hasan Piker have made quite a name for themselves by spreading hate via social platforms. Fuentes admires Stalin and finds a twisted admiration for Hitler, which seems to fit his brand.

Piker has faced backlash for offensive comments, yet he retains a huge following across various outlets. Their behaviors scream for attention, and it feels like the media is desperate to replicate the success of figures like Joe Rogan, but this is where they end up instead.

5. Katy Perry’s Space Adventures

Katy Perry had a couple of noteworthy moments in 2025, one involving a ride on Jeff Bezos’ rocket with other celebrities. The experience seemed to resonate with her, as she humorously mentioned feeling so “connected to love.” She’s currently dating Justin Trudeau, which just adds to the surreal atmosphere.

6. Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia Erivo, on the other hand, has become an unavoidable presence in 2025, celebrated for her unique style. She starred in a couple of “Wicked” movies and even played Jesus in a musical rendition, embracing her distinctive look and proudly emphasizing her individuality.

Erivo quipped about wanting to resemble “a pretty thumb,” which, I guess, is on-brand with her character. She’s managing to capture attention in a way that is both fascinating and bizarre.

7. Kamala Harris

Finally, we can’t ignore Kamala Harris, who recently indicated that she has more to offer. Her experiences and the release of her book, “107 Days,” seem to have stirred mixed feelings among different political factions.

Unlike Richard Nixon, who was clear about his ambitions, Harris is still navigating the waters of her political journey. It’ll be interesting to see how her path unfolds as she faces more criticism.
