There Are Jobs in the Black Community, But ‘They’re Crappy’

On Tuesday's “CNN This Morning” broadcast, CNN political commentator and former Obama aide Van Jones said that while there are good employment numbers in the black community, “those are crap jobs.”

asked co-host Phil Mattingly.[T]The Biden team has always tried to sell the economy as great when you look at the top-line numbers, defying all expectations, but people polled say, no, no, not at all. Say. We completely disagree. However, we have seen a shift in consumer sentiment in recent weeks. A University of Michigan poll showed a 13-point increase in January. That was so unexpected. You saw the Dow set a new record. You spoke quite eloquently about the problems they face with the economy. Do you think things are improving?

Mr Jones replied: And facts and feelings are very different. People keep saying to me, “You're getting great job numbers in the black community, and you're not happy?” And I thought, “Oh, but those are crap jobs.” How people feel will be very different from the numbers. ”

She went on to say that she thinks abortion will be a big issue for Democrats.
