A political action committee purportedly representing Nikki Haley supporters is now endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the general election.
The PAC is fully backing Harris, whom President Joe Biden endorsed after he announced Sunday that he would not seek reelection after all.
“My first decision as the nominee of my party in 2020 was to select Kamala Harris as my vice president, and it was the best decision I ever made,” Biden said in a statement after announcing his intentions.
“Today I want to fully endorse and support Kamala to be our party’s nominee this year. Democrats, now is the time to come together and defeat Trump,” he added. “Let’s do it.”

“We support Joe Biden’s endorsement and will immediately change our organization name to Haley Vote for Harris. We cannot waste any time,” the PAC wrote on social media, describing Harris as a “tough prosecutor” and sending an endorsement letter to the vice presidential candidate.
“We encourage her to choose a moderate VP like @GovernorShapiro, @RoyCooperNC or @GovAndyBeshear,” he added.

PAC Director Craig Snyder Said of Newsweek He argued that Harris is a “tough former prosecutor” and “the person best suited to defeat Donald Trump in November.”
“The tough-as-nails vice president, a former prosecutor, comes from the moderate wing of the Democratic Party, not the far left… For Haley’s supporters, all of this puts the vice president in a perfect position to voice continued opposition to the presidential election. [former] “President Trump,” Snyder said.
Notably, Nikki Haley herself called for Republican unity and delivered a message of unity at the Republican National Convention, when she told delegates in Milwaukee that “you don’t have to agree with me 100% of the time to vote for Trump.”

“I haven’t always agreed with President Trump,” she said, “but we agree more than we disagree.”
“We agree to keep America strong. We agree to keep America safe. And we agree that the Democratic Party has moved too far to the left and is putting our freedoms at risk,” Haley continued.
“To save America, we must be strong. … Foreign enemies win when they see Americans hate one another. They see it today, whether on a college campus or in the fields of Butler, Pennsylvania,” she said, referring to the assassination attempt on President Trump.
“Now is our chance to put our differences aside and focus on what unites us and makes our country stronger,” she added.
The PAC isn’t the only group backing Harris: Hillary Clinton became the latest major Democratic figure to endorse her.
“I have known Kamala Harris for a long time. This brilliant prosecutor will be fighting the case against convicted felon Donald Trump and his Project 2025 plan to take away our freedoms,” she wrote Monday along with a photo of the two of them together. “But she can’t do it alone. Please join me today at Kamala HQ for this historic campaign.”
