As the proverb says, there are no fools like old fools.
And now there's no old fool like Bill Belichick.
That grumpy genius in a cut-off sweatshirt – the eight-time Super Bowl Championship coach whose scolded Easy Gerway shaped many men into winners – is harming his legacy for a slightly younger tail.
And he, and only he, is responsible.
The 73-year-old has become CEO, CMO and COO of Belichick Corporation to his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, a 24-year-old recent college cheerleader.
When the couple debuted in late 2024, the brows were raised by age differences of 49 years and the effects she had on her infamous private, graphical Belichick. He was… whimsical. I thought it was a weird pairing, but I thought it was a good thing for them.
A minor alarm bell rang in March when it was revealed that Belichick, a University of North Carolina coach, was asking Hudson to communicate with the department's communications team.
And it was a bit strange to see her tiktok – in high white boots – Posing on the field Spring practice.
The full breadth of their wise intertwining was then revealed on Sunday, just as Hudson thwarted an interview with coaching's “CBS Sunday Morning” with the refreshing “CBS Sunday Morning.”
Lesson 1: Don't do what Hudson did.
Lesson 2: Don't be someone who forgives her.
When correspondent Tony Docpile asked Belichick how he and his gal companions met, Hudson threw a flag from his side hustle and stopped playing. She issued a harsh warning: “We're not talking about this.”
It reportedly was just one of many interruptions from Hudson. Hudson is even said to have attacked the set.
It led to speculation that they probably didn't meet on the flight, as previously reported. It also made her certain that she was the one driving this bus. Even if she doesn't have a license.
Once the backlash was mounted, Belichick tried to run the cover for her.
He made a stupid whining statement and criticised CBS for overstepping. He wrote that he “explained” to a spokesperson for his book.
“I was surprised when an unrelated topic was introduced. I repeatedly expressed my comment to reporter Tony Docpile and producers who wanted the conversation to be the center of the book.”
CBS rebutted: “When we agreed to talk to Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide range of interviews… [with] There are no prerequisites or restrictions. ”
Sorry, I'm a coach, but in which world do you agree to ask about books, “CBS Sunday Morning,” an iconic show focusing on human interest?
But hey, if Hudson “birates” her and Belichick's cheeseball pics on the sand and doesn't cosplay like a mermaid or horny fisherman, then perhaps there's not much human interest in what hell has gained on this guy.
He publicly aligned herself with her personally and professionally, asking questions about their fair game of relationships. Avoiding them is journalistic medical malpractice.
And if you are promoting a book about your life, you simply can't have both ways.
Is Belichick so naive?
Or, hear me, he just has the most ignorant “public relations officer” on the planet to advise him.
By allowing Hudson to turn that interview into a torpedo, Belichick ensured that people are digging into rany in every corner of her life – including her A $8 million real estate portfolio.
Not to mention how her interference stumbled business at UNC.
Page 6 Hudson reported that he tanked UNC transactions To “hard knock” the Grid Iron Document series at her essential requests, including being appointed as an executive producer. “The 'hard knock' people couldn't deal with this goodbye and they left,” the source said.
Belichick's friend reportedly worried, but appears to have cats stepped around this obvious fiasco. At least Charles Barkley said he had planned on “reaching out” and “I'm interested in what I'm hearing. He doesn't look good right now, I'll admit that.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Schmidt, who is married to Belichick's son Stephen, has been caught up in an Instagram debate where former patriot Julian Edelman said Hudson was acting as his spokesman.
“Public relations officers should act professionally, don't 'storm' the set, and don't delay interviews,” wrote Schmidt.
Maybe she should replace Hudson as her stepfather's rep.
One of the golden rules of sports is that it is not distracting. Hudson is more than that – she is the responsibility.
The only way to fix this confusion is for him to fire his girlfriend. Then I start listening to some adults.
