“There's something going on. Maybe it's God,” former President Donald Trump said, the day after surviving his second assassination attempt in two months.
“Something is going on. Maybe God wants me to be president to save this country,” Trump joked on X-Space Monday night. “Nobody knows.”

Mr Trump later recalled the first assassination attempt against him, saying: “It was a very unusual situation because I made a right turn and the people standing in front of me were not on my right side. As I turned my head exactly 90 degrees a bullet came hurtling past me at such high speed it just grazed my ear.”
“And yesterday, [assassination attempt] The outcome was different, in fact losing Corey made it a much better outcome. [Comperatore]”Injuries were reported,” the 45th president said, adding that two other people at the rally, David Duch and James Copenhaver, were also seriously injured.
Trump narrowly survived his first assassination attempt, when suspect Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on him while he was speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
Two months later, on September 15, Trump survived a second assassination attempt when suspected assassin Ryan Wesley Routh was caught hiding in bushes near the Trump International Golf Course, waiting to ambush Trump as he came into view while playing golf.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Routh was carrying a rifle with a scope, a backpack and a Go-Pro.
Secret Service agents, who were apparently a hole or two ahead of Trump to secure the area while he played golf, reportedly encountered Routh before he fired shots at the 45th president.
“A Secret Service agent saw the barrel of an AK-47,” Trump explained on X-Space Monday night. “He started firing at the barrel. He started firing in the brush. All he could see was the barrel — and based on that, he started firing.”
Trump said agents were “running toward targets and firing.”
“That's the gunshot we heard. The other one [Routh] “I never fired a shot,” Trump continued. “And [Routh] They ran across the road and jumped into a truck or a car.”
The 45th president added that a woman who witnessed the incident followed Routh in her car, took a photo of his license plate and provided the photo to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
“Astonishingly, a civilian in the area witnessed something extremely suspicious, parked his car behind his truck and took a photo of the license plate which he provided to the sheriff's office,” Trump said.
“And within a fairly short period of time, they pursued him down the highway and arrested him,” former President Trump added.

This is President Trump's second time speaking at X Space: The 45th president first attended X Space on August 12, where he conducted a live, unscripted interview with X's owner, tech mogul Elon Musk.
