These Republicans voted against the Trump-opposed TikTok bill

On Wednesday, 15 House Republicans voted against a bill that would force TikTok’s parent company ByteDance to withdraw from the popular app or face a U.S. ban.

The bill passed with overwhelming bipartisan support but faced opposition from former President Trump in recent days.

Despite previously vowing to ban TikTok and ordering ByteDance to remove the app from its U.S. operations in 2020, Trump has argued that TikTok’s absence will give Facebook more leverage.

“There’s a lot of good and bad about TikTok,” President Trump said Monday. “But what I don’t like is that Facebook can be big without TikTok. And I think Facebook is the enemy of the people, along with the media.”

The former president, who officially secured the Republican nomination on Tuesday night, was banned from Facebook following the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. Trump’s account was reinstated last year.

The Republican members who voted against the TikTok bill that President Trump opposed are as follows.

Congressman Andy Biggs (Arizona)

Congressman Dan Bishop (North Carolina)

Congressman Warren Davidson (Ohio)

Congressman John Duarte (California)

Congressman Matt Gaetz (Florida)

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (Georgia)

Congressman Clay Higgins (Louisiana)

Congresswoman Nancy Mace (South Carolina)

Congressman Thomas Massie (Kentucky)

Congressman Tom McClintock (California)

Congressman Alex Mooney (West Virginia)

Congressman Barry Moore (Alabama)

Congressman Scott Perry (Pennsylvania)

Congressman David Schweikert (Arizona)

Congressman Greg Steube (Florida)
