Comedian Eddie Griffin praised former President Donald Trump for saying what he would do for black people if he won the election, adding that Democrats at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) did not “copy” Trump’s vote.
in video In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Griffin spoke about the DNC inviting “big names” such as former President Barack Obama and his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, to speak, and added that Democrats “haven’t gotten his vote yet” and questioned what they would do for him.
“Newsflash, folks. Newsflash,” Griffin said. “The Democratic National Convention was held last night, and the big names were there. Michelle, Barack, Bernie, they brought all the weapons to the party.”
Griffin also criticized the speech that former President Barack Obama and his wife gave at the convention, adding that while the former president’s skills were “smooth,” he still couldn’t trust anything.
“They still ain’t tellin’ us what they’re gonna do for us,” Griffin added. “All they talkin’ about is how great America is. What the hell is great about it? Everybody’s broke, they’re homeless, all these motherfuckers who lost their houses can’t afford houses anymore, they have to pay rent because motherfucker Black Rock bought them up. But they bringin’ all these black motherfuckers, they’re freaking out. Oh man, they bringin’ the big boys, yeah, they bringin’ the motherfuckers, but I still ain’t gonna vote for them. I’m not stupid.”
Griffin continued to ask what the Democrats would “do” for him.
“What are you guys going to do for black people?” Griffin asked. “You guys didn’t say that part. Donald, to your credit, that motherfucker said what are you going to do for black people.”
The comedian said in a 2015 interview that he would vote for someone like Kanye West over Trump.
