Curran mentioned how the article pointed out that Belichick and his assistants remained media friendly and avoided media interviews outside of internal content.
The focus is also on professional development. Curran writes how Mandel has written how general manager Michael Lombardi considered the program to be the 33rd NFL team and introduced recent visits from former Super Bowl Champions David Andrews and Rob Ninkovic.
UNC has labelled its recent public practice as “professional practice,” but fans may not have known future pros since Belichick removed the numbers from its jerseys.
“For me, he’s running it that way,” Curran said.
As Curran referenced to Curran that he has the 12th recruiting class in 2026, the way Belichick runs the program has not turned off recruiting so far. 247 per sport.
The warning is that it’s so fast that many teams have not yet filled out their classes.
One topic that Weei didn’t ask Curran is the polarised presence of Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
Belichick previously emailed him to his young girlfriend, and Athletic recently revealed how she emailed the school with concerns about the message board comments about Belichick about how it presented her son and defensive coordinator Steve Belichick.
“Who wants to monitor UNC Football pages for defamatory commentary and then remove/block users who hate BB in comments?” Hudson wrote in a February 13 email.
UNC will hold seasons at home against TCU on September 1st.
