This news comes just days after Garner police reported that three armed individuals broke into the family home.

While her husband was restrained by the intruder, he was accused of being involved with his wife and their 11-month-old daughter.

Fortunately, the pair was located a few hours later, and local law enforcement subsequently arrested the two suspects the next day. The mother managed to flee with her child to a nearby house, alerting her neighbors about the situation.

“We’re fortunate in Wake County to live in an area where such random acts of violence are quite rare,” noted district attorney Lorin Freeman. “As the investigation continues in the following weeks, it will reveal if there was any specific targeting of these individuals.”

Prosecutors indicated that the brother and sister are undocumented immigrants from Mexico and are considered a flight risk. Both have been denied bail and are currently held at the Wake County Detention Center. Prior to their arrest, they were already in custody for other matters.

Hernandez has been identified as the third suspect sought by federal authorities. FBI Director Patel pointed out that Hernandez, an illegal immigrant who had previously been deported, now faces several state-level charges.
