No Kings Protests Nationwide

Protests against the Trump administration, branded “No Kings,” are happening again in cities throughout the United States today.

With over 3,100 demonstrations planned across all 50 states, organizers are estimating participation could exceed 9 million, potentially marking one of the largest protests in U.S. history.

In contrast, the second “No Kings” event last October attracted around 7 million people, while the first “Rebellion Day” in June saw about 5 million join in.

The main rally is taking place at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, particularly significant as the Trump administration sends thousands of federal immigration agents to Democratic-led Minnesota, where the state has intensified its crackdown on illegal immigration recently. Notable figures, including Sen. Bernie Sanders and musician Bruce Springsteen, are scheduled to speak at this event, along with actress Jane Fonda.

This rally will feature anti-authoritarian groups such as Indivisible and 50501, alongside various trade unions and grassroots organizations.

“Since the last No Kings, gas and food prices have skyrocketed, despite the ongoing illegal war in Iran,” expressed Sarah Parker, the executive director of Voice of Florida and national coordinator for the 50501 movement. “The American people are angry.”

The increase in gas prices coincides with the recently launched Operation Epic Fury by the Trump administration, aimed at dismantling Iran’s military and preventing the country from acquiring nuclear capabilities. As the conflict marks a month, President Trump has been negotiating with Tehran’s leadership and reported that Iranian authorities have allowed 10 tankers to pass through the closed Strait of Hormuz to signify compliance with international law.
