Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor and alleged boyfriend of Fani Willis, will step back from the Trump case, but will remain Fulton County District Attorney.
Sara Gonzalez is furious at the decision, saying, “I don’t understand why she was allowed to stay on the case.”
But she has an idea.
“There was a ‘challenge’ who threw his hat into the ring to challenge this particular judge,” Gonzalez explained, “and wondered how much that had to do with the judge’s decision. There is,” he added.
The “challenger” happened to be an African American civil rights activist.
Stu Brugiere thinks that may have something to do with the controversial ruling, noting that 73% of the judge’s district voted in favor of Biden.
Judges’ jobs are already in jeopardy because of this civil rights activist. Therefore, going easy on Fani Willis may be an act of self-preservation.
“I hope this problem can still be resolved,” Stu says. “But it’s hard to have hope in this day and age.”
Although the outlook is bleak, Pat Gray hasn’t lost hope.
“Maybe that would be grounds for a miscarriage of justice. I mean, I’m not a lawyer, but I think if there’s already been fraud going on on the prosecutor’s side, that could clear things up for the Trump team. . But anyway, I think they made a good case,” Gray says.
