Nicki Minaj Criticizes California Governor Gavin Newsom

Rap superstar Nicki Minaj has called out California Governor Gavin Newsom for expressing a desire to meet with transgender children. In a series of posts on X, she warned Newsom that this might be “the end of your road.”

In a post made on Friday, Minaj humorously remarked, “Oh Gavi Pooh, things only get worse for you from here, buddy,” and included an image of Chucky from the *Child’s Play* movie series. She added, “Ride on the nearest jet ski and let that beautiful hair fly in the wind. You’ll be happier than a race you can’t win. Enjoy life. Be at peace.”

Following that, she continued with another post stating, “Gavin is a cute boy who had everything handed to him because of how cute, sexy, hot, and smoking he is. Oh look, he’s sitting there in his sneakers and suit.” She went on to compare him to Tom Cruise but noted, “The only difference is that his next mission is impossible. He should play another leading role.”

In another message, Minaj elaborated, saying, “Imagine being a guy running to meet trans kids. Haha. Even trans adults wouldn’t run to that.” She insisted that normal adults prioritize their children’s well-being, saying, “Normal adults wake up and think they want to see their kids healthy, safe, and happy. Not gab. Non-gab people. Gab out. Send me another guy. I’m tired of it.”

Vice President J.D. Vance echoed Minaj’s sentiments, tweeting, “Nicki > Cardi,” referencing her comments in relation to current events. Meanwhile, Newsom has stated that he wants to meet transgender kids while claiming California has enacted progressive laws for this community.

Earlier this year, California made history by becoming the first state to protect children identifying as transgender and seeking medical or surgical changes. However, Newsom also recognized the unfairness of men competing in women’s sports, agreeing with a question posed by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on the matter.
