THIS is why CNN cut off Trump Press Secretary’s mic?

CNN host Jake Tapper is one of two people chosen to moderate the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and when a Trump campaign spokesperson suggested he may be biased, another CNN host, Casey Hunt, interrupted him.

Caroline Leavitt, national press secretary for Trump 2024, noted in an interview that if you Google Jake Tapper’s name and Donald Trump’s name, you’ll find that “Tapper has consistently compared Trump to Adolf Hitler.”

As she was about to finish her sentence, Mr Hunt interrupted, threatening to end the interview.

“If you continue to attack my colleagues I will cease this interview,” Mr Hunt said angrily.

“I am simply stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past,” Leavitt retorted, before cutting away from the screen.

“She’s welcome to come back and talk about Donald Trump, and I expect Donald Trump will be spending equal time with Joe Biden at the debate in Atlanta either earlier this week or later this week,” Hunt said, visibly upset.

The issue began when Hunt asked Trump what his debate strategy was, to which Leavitt initially responded that Trump’s plan was simply to point out Biden’s terrible job.

“She gave me a very clear answer.” Sara Gonzalez “But then she pointed out, and I think very correctly, ‘Your host has a history of anti-Trump sentiment, so clearly this isn’t right and it’s not fair.'”

Hunt later wrote in a post to X: “If you come on my show please respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care what side you’re on as my record clearly shows.”

Gonzalez is shocked that in this case “pointing out the facts” would be considered “disrespectful.”

“If you want to generalize opinion, don’t have someone on the show,” agrees Jaco Booyens.
