Check Out the New Lip Stain
Korean beauty brands have really made a name for themselves in the skincare world, and now I’ve been digging into the makeup side, particularly Peripera’s new Ink Peel-Off Lip Stain.
This lip stain is going for just $8 on Prime Day in October, which is almost like the cost of a latte, making it pretty accessible.
Right after I applied the lip stain, I noticed it didn’t dry out my lips—something I think a lot of people worry about with lip stains. The next morning, my lips still had a nice rosy hue. I remember the first night I tried it, I went for the black cherry shade first (I tend to be a bit impulsive), and then layered it with peanut rose. The colors blended so beautifully, creating a rich, dimensional look.
It has a light sweetness to its scent and dries relatively quickly. Sometimes, when I layer it, it can feel a bit sticky, but I’ve found that applying it a little thicker helps it come off more easily later on.
Other Amazon shoppers seemed to share my enthusiasm, asking, “What magic is this?!?”
After about 10 minutes, I gently rolled the color off, similar to how you’d remove a peel-off mask, and I’d dab my lips with a damp tissue to clear away any residue. My top pick? Definitely black cherry, but peanut rose is a close contender. I’m still contemplating what my third favorite might be.
The best combo, in my opinion, is adding a clear lip balm on top—it looks fantastic and, unlike some others, it doesn’t settle into any fine lines. It creates a lovely sheer color that adds brightness to your whole face, and it lasts through dinner and even a cup of hot tea.
This stain is just hitting the market, but if you recognize the brand, it’s the same one that launched the viral Lip Ink Velvets.
These may be part of the sales for October’s Prime Day, so it would be a good idea not to miss out on any of these deals.
