Thomas Massie Claims That More Than 90% Of Contributions Aimed At Defeating Him Come From Israeli Lobby

Massey Claims Israel Lobby Funding in Primary Race

On Wednesday, Rep. Thomas Massey, a Republican from Kentucky, stated that the majority of contributions aimed at countering his political campaign in the state’s primary are coming from the Israel lobby. He made these remarks during an appearance on “The Tucker Carlson Show,” emphasizing how closely his primary battle against challenger Ed Galine, a former Navy SEAL, is shaping up. Massey attributed Galine’s financial backing to various Israeli lobbying organizations, highlighting how they are determined to see him lose due to his consistent votes against military interventions and foreign aid.

Massey remarked, “The money doesn’t come from ordinary individuals. It’s coming from billionaires, and at least 95 percent of it is from the Israel lobby.” He pointed out that organizations like the Republican Jewish Coalition and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) are collaborating to finance a PAC called MAGA Kentucky, which he suggests is misleadingly named.

He also mentioned that Christians United for Israel aligns with AIPAC’s initiatives to involve Christians and reinforce support for military and foreign aid policies. “The real challenge in this race,” Massey noted, “is the unprecedented level of financial support from foreign lobbies for my opponent.”

Massey characterized himself as “the least xenophobic” congressman but has consistently opposed foreign aid. He expressed concern that many of his colleagues in Congress are influenced by AIPAC affiliates, which has led to pushback against him for his criticisms.

Moreover, AIPAC reportedly engages in discreet campaigning during state elections and primaries. Massey mentioned that AIPAC is raising funds through a vendor called Democracy Engine, founded by a co-creator of ActBlue.

In a twist, former President Trump has supported Galine in this primary contest as a response to Massey’s calls for transparency regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s case and his opposition to the Big Beautiful 2025 Act. Galine secured 75.9% of the vote in the recent 2024 primary election.
