Rep. Thomas Massie Engaged in New Marriage After Loss
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) has remarried a former staff member for Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) over a year after the passing of his wife.
In a message posted on X, he shared, “Carolyn and I would like to announce that we recently got married! We were legally married on October 19th in Kentucky by the pastor of the church we attended for several months. Our Christian wedding took place this weekend in Carolyn’s home state of Pennsylvania, and we celebrated with our closest friends and family.”
Massie discussed how his new wife, Carolyn, is an enthusiastic supporter of the “Make America Healthy Again (MAHA)” initiative.
“Carolyn Grace Moffa and I first met on the job more than a decade ago when she worked for Sen. Rand Paul. She was part of Senator Paul’s agricultural policy team until 2016 and was an early advocate for MAHA. Carolyn even visited me and my late wife, Rhonda, at our grass-fed cow farm several years back. She has never been married. I have four adult children, all happily married, and I have three grandchildren from my long marriage to Rhonda. I still miss her immensely. We’ll be living on a farm in Kentucky, where Carolyn recently assisted us in bringing back ducks, chickens, and beef cattle. We’ll be commuting between Washington, D.C., and various locations in Kentucky, depending on our Congressional responsibilities.”
She added a bit of humor about their wedding reception: “Of course! We even had raw milk served alongside the wedding cake and margaritas made with frozen peaches from the farm.”
The wedding was attended by notable political figures, including Sen. Paul and Reps. Jim Jordan, Warren Davidson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Victoria Spartz, along with Massie’s grandchildren.
One guest expressed her joy, saying, “I’m so happy for my friend Thomas Massey and his new bride, Carolyn! It was a wonderful wedding and reception, surrounded by family and friends. Wishing them many blessings!”
Massie shared some personal touches, too: “My oldest grandchild served as the ring bearer. I proposed to Carolyn on the steps of the Library of Congress, which is where we had our first date. Please pray for us as Carolyn joins me in this endeavor. With her support, I look forward to continuing to fight for freedom for the wonderful people of Kentucky!”
Massie’s late wife, Rhonda, passed away in June 2024, with her death being linked to “respiratory complications of chronic autoimmune myopathy,” stirring various speculations about the circumstances of her passing.
In the political arena, President Trump had nominated Massie during the primary, criticizing retired Navy SEAL Ed Galine, who he called a “third-rate lawmaker,” particularly due to Massie’s dissent on budget and foreign policy matters.
On the legislative front, Massie collaborated with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) to advance a bill aimed at fully releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files. He has also publicly criticized Gullane, regarding him as a “globalist billionaire” burdened with debt and advocating for perpetual foreign aid and military engagement.
