Following President Joe Biden’s weak performance in a debate with former President Donald Trump, the commander of U.S. forces in Europe increased the level of protection for U.S. bases and troops.
Assistant Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh Said This is because it is “a combination of factors and not related to any single threat.”

“Following my performance at the debate last weekend, U.S. military bases in Europe were put on high alert in preparation for a real terrorist threat. The world knows our weakness and it is taking advantage of us,” she said in an interview with Fox News.

According to the Military Press Stars and StripesThe Stuttgart Army Garrison issued a region-wide alert raising its unit protection level to “Charlie” status until further notice, and similar instructions were sent to bases in Germany, Romania, Bulgaria and Italy.
U.S. Army website explanation The Charlie threat level is applied “when incidents occur or information is received indicating any form of terrorist act or possible attack on personnel or facilities.”
Charlie is the second-highest level of protection after Delta and is applied “in the immediate area where a terrorist attack has occurred, or when information is received that a terrorist act is imminent against a specific place or person.”
