‘Threats of eradication’: University retracts claim that Michael Knowles called for genocide of transgender people

The University at Buffalo has retracted a statement on the homepage of its media studies website that accused political commentator Michael Knowles of threatening to “exterminate and genocide” transgender people.

Knowles Explained As a “permanent denunciation of me for saying that men and women are different,” the Graduate School of Media Studies released the following statement: Home page:

“Media Studies faculty stand in solidarity with the transgender community and others targeted by Michael Knowles' rhetoric and threats of extermination and genocide,” the website states. “We are committed to the free and open exchange of ideas, as well as inclusivity, social justice, and respect for all.”

“There is no room for hate speech, as there can be no open exchange of ideas without inclusion, justice and respect. We believe that Mr Knowles' appearance on campus is counter to the values and aims of our academic community,” the statement concluded.

Mr Knowles told Blaze News he was “as surprised as anyone” that he had been featured on the police website.

“I have been repeatedly accused of calling for genocide,” Knowles said, still perplexed by the allegations.

He then tried to understand why the university made such a statement.

“I have only visited the University at Buffalo once. … I was invited to give a speech, and the speech was about feminism. [but] I was then called out for saying that transgenderism isn't real in a different speech I gave at a different event in Washington DC over two years ago,” the commentator recalled.

The university was likely referring to a false headline that misquoted Knowles as saying she wanted to eradicate transgender people.

This claim comes from a speech given by Knowles. CPAC The remarks were made while speaking about the radical ideology that permeates society in the year 2023. What he actually said was that transgenderism “must be completely eradicated from public life” “for the benefit of the poor” who are gender confused.

Knowles has since spoken out to publications, including Rolling Stone, about the potential Defamation This came after a headline quoted President Trump as calling for “transgender people to be 'eliminated.'”

“You can't just accuse other people of calling for genocide.”

Knowles was surprised to learn that less than 48 hours later, the University at Buffalo's media studies department had removed the potentially defamatory statements.

“I don't think the reason they took it down is because they suddenly fell in love with me or realised that a man can't be a woman. I think the reason they took it down is the same reason Rolling Stone changed a defamatory headline about me: they got legally liable for defamation,” Knowles laughed.

While the Daily Wire host expressed general dismay about the state of the U.S. judiciary, he noted that while U.S. law sets a high bar for defamatory statements, there are still red lines that cannot be crossed.

“Even under a corrupt political system, you cannot accuse others of calling for genocide,” Knowles said.

The 34-year-old concluded by saying that gender ideology is being propagated at the highest levels for political gain, despite the obvious falsehood that a man can be a woman and a woman can be a man.
