A search is underway for three people who went missing after a speeding boat crashed into them on the Connecticut River Monday night, authorities said.
The boat was carrying nine passengers when it struck a breakwater in Old Saybrook. WFSB reportedciting Coast Guard officials.
Six people were rescued and taken to local hospitals, but their conditions are unknown, according to reports.
Rescue crews are continuing to search for three other passengers who were not wearing life jackets at the time of the crash. He told Fox 61.

The Old Saybrook Fire Department is leading the investigation.
Resources from Coast Guard stations in New London and Cape Cod were deployed to assist with search efforts.
