Authorities in Ohio are looking into the tragic deaths of three employees from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, whose bodies were discovered in various locations near Dayton over the weekend.
The 88th Air Base Wing representatives noted that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations are on the case. These events reportedly took place between the night of October 24 and the morning of October 25.
“We’re heartbroken by what has happened, and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones during this time,” said Lt. Gen. Linda Harry, who serves as the vice commander of the Air Force Materiel Command. “We are dedicated to a comprehensive investigation and will provide necessary support to the families and colleagues affected.”
The victims have been identified: Lt. Jaime Gustitas, 25, from the 711th Human Performance Wing; Jamie Pritchard, 33, from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center; and Jacob Pritchard, 34, who also held a position at the Air Force Research Laboratory.
According to reports, it is believed that Jacob Pritchard took the life of his wife, Jamie, at an undisclosed location during the late hours of Friday or early Saturday. A woman in Sugarcreek Township called 911 just before 2 a.m. after hearing a loud noise and witnessing a shattered glass door.
“He said he had a gun and wanted to get back into the house,” she recounted. “Then he jumped off the patio and left.” This individual was identified as Jacob Pritchard, who is alleged to have killed Gustitas in their apartment.
Details about how and where Jacob killed Jamie remain unclear, though it was mentioned that they were familiar with each other through their work at Wright-Patterson. Surveillance footage indicated that Jacob arrived at West Milton City Hall around 4 a.m., parked in a designated exchange area, and subsequently took his own life.
Meanwhile, Fox News Digital has reached out to the West Milton Police Department to gather further details about this incident.
