Three members of the Putnams family from TLC were killed and five others hurt in a crash in Michigan.

Three members of the Putnam family, known from the TLC show “Meet the Putnams,” tragically died in a car accident on Friday. Bill “Daddy” Putnam, his wife Barb, and their stepdaughter Megan were all lost in the incident. At the time of the crash, eight family members were present, and five others from a different vehicle were injured.

On Sunday, the family provided updates regarding those hurt in the accident. One statement mentioned Noah, who remained sedated but was showing signs of responsiveness, which was reassuring. They also shared that Zia had undergone cranial surgery, and the medical team had given encouraging news about her recovery.

Authorities reported that a southbound commercial semi-truck failed to stop, crashing into their Jeep, resulting in the deaths of the three family members at the scene, per the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan. Five others were taken to the hospital for treatment. Both the driver and the passenger of the truck sustained injuries and have since been hospitalized, with the driver now facing potential charges.

“We need to be more cautious when driving,” the Sheriff’s Office emphasized, noting an alarming number of accidents affecting lives. Meanwhile, the Putnam family has requested prayers for Noah and Zia as they navigate this difficult time.

In their message, they reaffirmed their faith, stating, “We appreciate your continued prayer, love, and support. We feel the strength and faith surrounding us. Keep lifting Noah and Zia as we heal.” The Putnams had previously gained attention for their distinctive lifestyle; Bill and “Neeney” lived in a sizable home in Michigan with their children and grandchildren, though the show only aired for a single season in 2017.
