VIENNA (AP) – Vienna police have launched a criminal investigation after the bodies of three women were found in a brothel, authorities said Saturday.
A witness spotted blood stains outside a building near the Danube on Friday evening and called police. Police spokesman Philip Haslinger told The Associated Press that the bodies of the three victims had “cut and stab wounds.”
A 27-year-old man was found in possession of the alleged murder weapon, a knife, and was arrested a short time later near the brothel. Police said the suspect, an asylum seeker from Afghanistan, is expected to be questioned by police later Saturday.
