On Friday, a 3-year-old girl was killed by a stray bullet in a Democratic-controlled southeastern area of Washington, D.C.
The victim is identified Tyre Settles, who lived in southeast Washington, D.C., and her family are grieving the loss, NBC Washington reported.

The girl was riding in a car on Hartford Street SE when she was struck by gunfire. So far, investigators do not know the motive or suspects in the incident.
After the shooting, the victim was found at the fire station and taken to Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
