Tiger Woods gives optimistic PGA Tour, LIV Golf updates

LA Jolla, CA – Tiger Woods is busy behind the scenes and works with the PGA Tour to rebuild the future of professional golf, continuing to negotiate with Liv Golf beneficiaries Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) I'm doing it.

Woods is the director of the Player Advisory Council (PAC) along with Patrick Cantray, Adam Scott, Peter Marnaty, Webb Simpson and Kamilo Vilgas. For his position in the PAC, Woods met with PIF and spent countless hours with PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monaghan, playing golf and discussing with President Donald Trump with the future of sports.

On February 4th, prior to the WM Phoenix Open, Woods was to join Scott and Monaghan of Washington, D.C., for a meeting with the White House president. However, he was unable to attend because his mother Kurchida passed away that morning.

Nevertheless, Woods provided an update on the future of golf in the final round of Genesis Invitational. He sat on a CBS broadcast and made these comments.

“I think we're in a very positive place right now. I met the President. Unfortunately, I've come out a few other situations, but Jay and Adam have done great things during the meeting. And we came out with another subsequent meeting,” Woods said Jim Nantz, Trevor Immelman and everyone was tuning from home.

“I think things will heal quickly. I'll take this game in the right direction. It's been heading the wrong direction for years, and the fans are all playing together, all the top players together We want to play with it and we're going to make it happen.”

Woods added that a solution will come as early as this year, but this is somewhat similar to what Monaghan said on February 12th.

“It was a very productive visit. I think you guys were around him. [the President] Monaghan said before the invitation of Genesis.

“for [the President] Sit down and meet our demands to talk about how he achieved what he said publicly as a goal. This was a game of golf run on one tour where all top players play on that one tour, and it was a great opportunity. We had a really productive conversation.

“What that means is unity of the game, that's what we've been and we're focused on. Frankly, that's what our fans want. So unified. When we talk about it, it's the best player in the world and competes with each other.”

Monaghan did not offer a “Unified” timeline when speaking Wednesday before the tournament. But Woods pleased golf fans everywhere and hinted at what would happen soon.
