Tiger Woods is at Augusta National for the 88th Masters Tournament as the five-time Green Jacket winner seeks his sixth championship.
Despite being on the brink of winning his first major this year, Woods faced doubts about the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
He was asked about his current position on Team USA in 2025 and whether he aspires to be captain.
“Okay, we’re still talking,” Woods said with a shy smile.
“It’s about Seth.” [Waugh] “Once this event is over, we’re going to sit down and talk about this,” Woods explained. “I said it’s going to be a busy couple of weeks, so I’m just focused on getting through this week and hopefully getting my next jacket.” I’d like to include it, so next week we can sit down and talk about it.”

That’s all Tiger will say about the Ryder Cup, but such a reaction creates intrigue. He may not play as much, but Big Cat still moves the needle.
Could he be a captain or playing captain in 2025? Does he want to be captain?
The Americans have indicated they want Tiger as their 2025 captain after the European team embarrassed the American team at the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone in Rome.
The story surrounding Tiger this week was interesting. Fred Couples warned the rest of the field that Woods was here not just to compete, but to win.
Woods even hinted that another Green Jacket was waiting for him.
Will Zalatoris and Woods played a practice round together on Monday, and the young PGA Tour player hinted at how much better Tiger hits the ball.
The 82-time winner hasn’t played on the PGA Tour since the Genesis Invitational, where he had to withdraw in the second round due to illness.
But the 15-time major champion seems ready to resume playing once a month for now. Only time will tell, but we’ll likely learn more about Woods’ health this week.
