Tiger Woods Completes Rehab Month After DUI Incident
Tiger Woods has finished a month of rehab following his arrest on suspected drunk driving.
On Wednesday, the famous golfer was spotted walking on the tarmac at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida after arriving on a private jet, as reported by Page Six.
Woods flew in from Switzerland after leaving a treatment facility in Zurich.
Woods arrived dressed casually in shorts, a black vest over a long-sleeved shirt, sunglasses, and a baseball cap. He was accompanied by his dogs and had a backpack on, along with a compression sleeve on his right leg.
His representative has not commented on the situation.
Woods, who had landed in Zurich on April 3, is set to appear in court on July 7.
Recently, Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan, addressed the court in Martin County, Florida. The judge ordered Woods to provide his prescription records from the time of the accident, but those details haven’t been made public.
The 50-year-old golfer was involved in a rollover accident near his home on Jupiter Island on March 27.
Woods was allegedly driving a Land Rover when he tried to pass a pressure washer, which led to a clip striking the rear of his vehicle and causing it to roll over. Fortunately, no one was hurt, although Woods had to crawl out from the wreckage.
Police noted signs of impairment and mentioned that Woods had refused a urine test, despite passing a breathalyzer, which resulted in a legal charge. They reported finding “two white pills” in his pocket, later identified as hydrocodone.
At the time of his arrest, his pupils were described as “hyperdilated” and “bloodshot,” a condition further visible in a mugshot taken that day. Body camera footage indicated Woods struggled with the breathalyzer test and exhibited behavior such as hiccupping while interacting with law enforcement.
Woods, a five-time Masters champion, has encountered various car accidents over his career. Following his booking into the Martin County Jail, he was released the next morning.
Days later, Woods entered a not guilty plea and acknowledged the gravity of his situation. On March 31, he expressed through a statement his need for treatment, saying, “I will be taking a period of time away to receive treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order to prioritize my health and work toward a sustained recovery.”
A source close to Woods mentioned that he is eager to get back to golf after his treatment, highlighting his need to address both his injuries and wellness as part of his recovery process. Another source added, “He just wants to get better in every aspect of his life.”
