Kaylin Bradshaw, an influencer known for sharing her journey with a rare bile duct cancer, has passed away at the age of 29.
Her husband, Austin, shared the heartbreaking news in a TikTok update on Wednesday, confirming she died on Monday, October 27th.
Austin noted, “Kaelyn was devastated from the moment she was diagnosed, but she was also determined.” He mentioned that she made a promise to both him and their family to keep fighting.
However, he added, “She fulfilled her promise, but sadly her disease progressed beyond her body’s ability to fight.”
Austin shared that Kaelin passed away in the early hours of Monday while holding his hand. “She wasn’t in any pain. Her room was filled with love and care from the whole family,” he reassured. “She was never alone during this entire journey.”
Kaylin’s father, Mark, confirmed the shocking news in his own emotional Instagram video. “With a heavy heart, we lost our beloved angel today,” he wrote, sharing tender moments of Kaelin. “Thank you for the love, prayers, and support you have shown our family. It means more than ever.”
He reflected, “Kaylin, your light touched so many lives, and your memory will always shine in our hearts. Rest in peace; you’ll be sorely missed.”
In her last TikTok video, Kaylin directed her nearly 100,000 followers to her GoFundMe page, established to support her and her husband “whatever happens in the future.” She expressed gratitude for Austin’s unwavering support, mentioning how he managed to balance jobs and sold personal items to ease their financial burden.
Kaylin was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer, a condition that typically affects those over 50 and is often detected at an advanced stage, making successful treatment challenging. Despite being in hospice care, she stated she was still fighting and hopeful.
“This is not something I ever thought I would have to write, but life throws difficult challenges at us unexpectedly,” she reflected in her GoFundMe message, thanking everyone for their love and support during this incredibly tough time.
