Tragic Death of TikTok Influencer Amid Domestic Struggles

A TikTok influencer named Sarah Gilson, also known as Sarah Duffy, was found dead alongside her estranged husband, Jeremiah Sean Duffy, in what authorities are considering a murder-suicide incident.

Just weeks prior, Ms. Gilson had publicly accused her husband of being a pedophile. The police in Owasso, Oklahoma, responded to a domestic violence report, discovering both individuals deceased. A child present at the scene made the desperate call to 911, stating, “My stepfather shot my mother.”

Recent Allegations and Pleas for Help

In a TikTok video shared shortly before her death, Sarah had ominously mentioned preparing for a potential documentary about her husband’s alleged crimes.

Her former husband, Lyle Landers, expressed that he had urged her multiple times to separate from Duffy, describing her relationship as fraught with domestic violence. He claimed he offered support to help her escape but felt that Duffy had a strong grip on her life that she couldn’t shake off.

Landers remarked, “She was a wonderful mother, willing to die for her children. Trying to protect them ultimately led to her demise.”

Background on the Husband’s Allegations

Previously, on June 9, police had received reports involving Jeremiah Sean Duffy, accused of inappropriate conduct with a minor at his school. He had faced similar charges before, including lewd sexual abuse of a minor, and the case was escalated to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

On the same day the tragic incident occurred, Sarah had filed for an emergency protection order aimed at keeping Duffy from their home. Another woman had also sought a protection order against him after witnessing Duffy inappropriately interacting with her teenage daughter.
