TikToker dines and dashes on Hinge date who brought friend for an expensive hibachi first date

Old date And the switch.

One clever man realised his Hinge date and the friend who showed up with her for a romantic evening were tormenting him, so he “dined and ran” with the intention of paying the hefty price.

The TikTok user, who goes by the username Johnny America, proudly recounted how the pair were at a local teppanyaki restaurant when they started ordering “surf and turf” and drinks, before suddenly leaving them behind.

Johnny claims he contacted the woman to ask her to lunch on a first date after matching with her on dating app Hinge, thinking it would be a “casual relationship”.

His date agreed, but she insisted on going to hibachi, Johnny revealed. A popular video was posted on wednesday.

“I went there to meet a girl for hibachi and she brought her friend and was like, ‘Hey, can my friend join us?'” the confused TikTok user recalled.

“I think so,” he replied. “She’s already here. What was I going to say to her, ‘Go away’?”

Johnny said he and his date started talking when the woman and her friend ordered “a bunch of drinks” and appetizers.

He remained silent and said nothing, still trying to remain friendly.

The hibachi chef then asked the content creators what they would like to eat, and while they ordered a simple chicken and rice dish, the women opted for the typically pricey surf and turf meal, which consists of seafood and meat.

The TikToker was shocked by their order and soon realized that the two women were trying to take advantage of him to get a lavish meal.

“These kids think I’m stupid. I’m not stupid,” Johnny explained.

The pair continued to hang out and talk over meals, and he claims he was aware of “what was going on” the whole time.

The chef asked them if they wanted to split the bill, and when they replied “all together,” Johnny dumped the brazen pair.

“So I said to her, ‘Can you just do me a favour and box up some food for me? I’m going to the bathroom,’ and she said, ‘Yeah, sure.'”

But Johnny didn’t want to be a pawn to these girls, so he betrayed them.

“‘Guess where I went? I didn’t go to the bathroom. I got in my car and went home. You think I’m stupid? I’m not stupid. I paid my bill. Thank you,'” he said before ending the video.

In the follow-up video Posts On Thursday, the TikTok user said he returned to the teppanyaki restaurant the next day to make sure his money had been paid.

He discovered that the same chef who served them said they had paid the bill but had not.

The chef told him that the girls had been sitting there for about 30 minutes and then “another man came in and paid the bill” before they left.

“These two idiots called in another idiot to pay the price, and that idiot actually paid,” Johnny recalled.

“There’s nothing you can do to help them. They’re not good people,” Johnny said before ending the video, adding that he gave the chef a $20 tip for his trouble.

The original video has already been viewed 2.5 million times since it was posted, with people praising his quick-thinking move.

“There’s nothing more rude than taking advantage of someone’s kindness. I wouldn’t do it lol,” one user commented.

“LOL you played the game better than them. She wanted an expensive meal for free and for her friends. You’re so amazing,” another wrote.

“You did 100% the right thing. Whenever I go on a date I make sure the place I’m going to is somewhere I’m willing to pay for,” another person commented.
