Tim Scott Doesn’t Rule Out Being Trump Running Mate

Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) did not rule out running for former President Donald Trump's running mate in an interview on CNN's “State of the Union” on Sunday.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “Senator, on Friday, when you were with Donald Trump in New Hampshire, some in the crowd were chanting Vice President. I want to be Donald Trump's running mate.'' Is that so?”

Scott said, “The only thing I hope is that Donald Trump has had Republican majorities in the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the White House for years, growing up today in neighborhoods similar to the ones I grew up in.'' “It's about helping poor children survive.” This is your chance to receive a quality education. We want our children to look to the future and believe that America is on their side. they can get whatever they want. That's what I really want. If I can help accomplish that through my advocacy by campaigning and staying in my home state of South Carolina over the next four to five weeks and beyond, that's my goal. If we don't think about ourselves and think about our country first, we will be better off. ”

Bash said: That door is wide open, isn't it? ”

Scott said, “Well, Dana, you can take it all you want. My goal is to do one thing, and I always end up doing the same thing.'' To America and Americans, to our future, to today. Make them believe in ways they don’t believe.”
