Tim Scott: ‘The View’ hosts ‘attacking me again’ for being only Black GOP senator

Sen. Tim Scott (RS.C.) criticized “The View” host for “attacking” him as the only black Republican senator, but black Republicans have momentum said.

“I would never be surprised if the women of ‘The View’ try it again.” He said “They’re attacking me because I’m the only black Republican in the Senate,” he said in a video posted on social media platform X.

Scott said the talk show’s women have helped defeat Black Republicans running for Senate “time and time again.”

The South Carolina senator responded to co-host Sunny Hostin’s comments that Scott would not help win over black voters in the upcoming election if he were chosen as former President Trump’s vice president. It was reacting.

Scott, who put his candidacy in the Republican primary on hold last November and then endorsed Trump in January, is rumored to be one of the former president’s running mate candidates.

“If there are people out there who think Tim Scott is going to bring in a bunch of black men, they really need to follow suit. Tim Scott is the only African American senator in the Republican Party. There’s a reason why,” Hostin, a Republican, said Friday. The women debated which members of Congress would help Mr. Trump attract the most voters.

Fellow co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin, a former Trump administration aide, said Democrats have fewer black members in the Senate than Republicans. Hostin said the Democratic Party has recently fielded black members to every major elected office in the country.

Scott claimed the co-hosts were afraid of the black Republican base.

“Four in 10 black men want to vote Republican, and the number of black women interested in voting Republican has doubled,” he said. “What they fear is the end of the monopoly.”

“The Republican Party, the Republican Party, is starting to move in my community,” Scott continued. “God Bless America.”
