Tim Walz has struggled to prove himself worthy of such an important position, going back and forth on issues such as the electoral system.
In a recent interview with ABC's Michael Strahan, he said he was unable to hide his mistake.
Strahan told Walz: “You said, 'I think we all know that the Electoral College needs to be abolished.' But later that night, the campaign announced that… They said it was not their place,” he added.
“Well, that's not the camp's position. What I'm saying is that there are people who feel that every vote counts in every state, but there are also people who feel that that's not the case. I think our campaign is doing that, and I mean, going to five states in two days and making a case that our campaign position is clear. That's it,” Waltz rambled.
“Their position and my position is to make sure everyone understands that their vote matters no matter what state they're in,” he added.
“So does that mean you and Vice President Harris have a different opinion?” Strahan followed up.
“I've said in the past that she's been very clear on this. The campaign's position and my position is the campaign's position,” Walz responded.

“Doublespeak and backtracking,” a shocked Gray said, noting that Waltz had also recently made strange comments about immigration.
“I think it's helpful for voters to focus on immigration, because I think what they're seeing is that we're committed to immigration and we're talking about what the solutions are. And also, I think these people saw it, but Donald Trump didn't do anything about it. He certainly didn't build the wall, and he didn't make Mexico pay for it. No,” Walz said in a separate interview.
“It's amazing again,” Gray said. “Actually, you're talking such nonsense. Donald Trump tried to build a wall, but he couldn't get enough money.”
“It's incredible how stupid they think we are,” he added. “And it probably will be, I don't know, but we'll know on November 6th.”
